April – May 2024
Ella returned to Fort Myers, Florida to lead the Florida Repertory Theatre's production of OLEANNA, written by Pulitzer Prizewinner David Mamet. She played the role of CAROL alongside Denis Lambert as JOHN. Chris Clavelli directed the provocative piece for the theatre's Artstage Studio. Read more about the show here, and get tickets here.
MIDSUMMER IN OXFORD
July 2023
Ella attended the University of Oxford's prestigious Midsummer In Oxford program, a month-long Shakespeare immersion offered by the British American Drama Academy. Ella learned from Britain’s leading classical teachers and actors, including Brian Cox.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF – LIVE PREMIERE OF JOHN WILLIAMS' MOVIE ORCHESTRATIONS
March 2022
Ella played Tzeitel in a recent collaboration between the Philadelphia Orchestra and Michigan's University Musical Society. Students of the University of Michigan's Musical Theatre Department performed alongside industry professionals (Tony Award-winning Chuck Cooper, Loretta Ables-Sayre, Liz Larsen, Tim Jerome and more) in a staged concert of Fiddler on the Roof that featured John Williams' orchestrations from the 1971 film, never before heard live. The company performed first in Ann Arbor with the Grand Rapids Symphony, and then travelled east to perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Andy Einhorn music directed and conducted, Sarna Lapine directed, and Alison Solomon choreographed.
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST AT THE FLORIDA REPERTORY THEATRE
January-March 2023
Ella played Cecily Cardew alongside Broadway veterans in Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest at the Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers, Florida. Chris Clavelli directed. Due to popular demand, the run was extended until March 11th.
ANDREW LIPPA'S THE WILD PARTY
October 2021
Ella played Mae (singing "Two of a Kind" with Ethan Hardy Benson as Eddie) in the University of Michigan's production of U-M alum Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre. MiMi Scardulla directed and choreographed. Jason DeBord music directed and conducted. Lippa came to campus to see Scardulla's contemporary take on his musical!
FOUR YEARS OF BLUE AT GREEN ROOM 42

The University of Michigan's Musical Theatre Class of 2022 presented a cabaret performance at The Green Room 42 the night after the group's Senior Showcase in NYC. This was their last performance as students.
SANTA'S NEARLY HERE - TRI DOT ENTERTAINMENT
December 2022
Ella performed in Tri Dot Entertainment's inaugural event, Santa's Nearly Here!, a holiday cabaret, at Nearly Ninth, NYC in December 2022. Carson Crow directed, Matthew Everingham music directed.
THE BARN THEATRE
Summer 2022
Ella worked as a performance apprentice at The Barn Theatre in Augusta, MI for summer of 2022. The Barn is Michigan's oldest professional summer theatre, with 2022's season being their 76th. Jonathan Larson earned his Equity card here and met then-apprentice Marin Mazzie during the same summer. Ella's summer included mounting six mainstage productions plus numerous cabaret-style after-shows.

UMICH SENIORÂ SHOWCASE
May 2022
Immediately following Ella's graduation from the University of Michigan's Musical Theatre Program at the end of April 2022, she and her classmates travelled to New York City to perform for an audience of agents, casting directors, and other industry professionals. The Class of 2022 also performed in Ann Arbor beforehand, since the NYC show was by invitation only.

THEATRE NOW: SOUND BITES FESTIVAL

Ella participated in Theatre Now's Sound Bites: A Festival of 10-Minute Musicals, working as the Swing/Dance Captain for PIGEONS MATE FOR LIFE, written by Joan Saltzman (book and lyrics) and Andrew Underberg (music). Brendan Stackhouse directed and choreographed.

GROWING PAINS READING
April 8, 2022
Dana Pierangeli workshopped her new, full-length musical called Growing Pains with a cast of eight performers and several other collaborators over a four-week rehearsal period. An 'elevated staged reading' was presented on April 8th, 2022. Kendall Young directed and Stephanie Reuning-Scherer music directed. The performance was live-streamed and recorded in the Duderstadt Video Center. The recording was featured in the Twenty-by-Twenty Fringe Festival​ in May 2022.

WORLD PREMIERE OF CYANIDE
April 6, 2022
Ella performed in the world premiere of the English language translation of Friedrich Wolf's play, Cyanide (known as Cyankali in the original German). Silke Weineck translated the piece. A lightly staged reading was presented in Kahn Auditorium. Malcolm Tulip directed. This premiere was a collaboration between the German Department and the School of Music, Theatre & Dance at the University of Michigan.
